Incredibly rare vintage Mitsubishi Uni Hokutosei pencil honoring an important part of Japanese society, the efficient and ubiquitous railway system. These pencils referenced the Hokutosei train service that ran between Ueno Station in Tokyo and the city of Sapporo. Remarkably detailed imagery of train is printed on sides, HB grade lead, pentagonal shaped barrel, in very good condition with just a touch of wear from age. As a side note, most Mitsubishi train pencils were colored, this is the only graphite version we've seen.  An absolutely stellar item for the pencil collector, train aficionado, appreciator of Japanese culture, or all three!
