Yamamoto Paper is a family owned company, based in Osaka, Japan, that's developed a deep expertise in formulating paper, particularly how well it functions with various writing instruments. The company's own products were introduced in 2005 and this Ro-Biki grid notebook is part of that range.

Heavy wax paper cardstock composes covers that take on a textured, more supple character the more you use your notebook. The 100% recycled ivory paper inside is of excellent quality for pencils, rollerball and ballpoint pens, as well as fountain pens, and there is minimal show through as you write. Pages are printed with a 5 mm grid of tiny cross marks (reticles)  that are an unobtrusive aid to tidy note-taking.

The Ro-Biki notebook is securely stitch-bound to lay flat and withstand a lot of manipulation, a slim profile amps up portability.
